Hydro excavation is a non-destructive digging method that uses high-pressure water to loosen soil while simultaneously using a powerful vacuum to remove debris into a holding tank. This allows for precise excavation without the risk of damaging underground utilities such as pipes and cables.

Unlike mechanical excavators or augers that use metal teeth, a hydrovac truck relies on water and air to excavate. This significantly reduces the risk of striking underground power, gas, or water lines, making it a preferred method for exposing utilities in congested areas.

Our hydro excavation fleet is highly versatile. Common applications include potholing (daylighting) to visually verify utility locations, trenching for new cables, cleaning blocked drains and pits, setting poles and signposts, and excavating in tight-access areas where large machinery cannot operate.

Absolutely. Our vacuum trucks are equipped with long hoses (up to 60m+), allowing us to park on the street or a hardstand while excavating in backyards, between buildings, or other difficult-to-access locations.

Our vacuum excavation trucks are capable of excavating to significant depths, often exceeding 6–8 metres depending on soil conditions and hose configuration.

The soil and water slurry is vacuumed directly into the debris tank on our truck. Once the job is complete or the tank reaches capacity, the material is transported to a licensed disposal facility.
